Jennifer Lopez and her child Emme Maribel Muñiz, who last performed together in 2020 when Lopez co-headlined the Super Bowl LIV Pepsi halftime show, came to the stage at the Los Angeles Dodgers Blue Diamond Gala.
They both received plaudits for a recent duet, Lopez addressed Emme with ‘they and them’, which are gender neutral pronouns.
Lopez said in a video provided by TikTok user @christinathesupermom, “The last time we performed together was in a big stadium like this, “and I ask them to sing with me all the time and they won’t.”
Lopez continued, “So this is a very special occasion. They are very, very busy. Booked. And pricey, they cost me when they come out. But they’re worth every single penny because they’re my favorite duet partner of all time.”
Emme then came on stage with a rainbow microphone, singing “a Thousand Years,” Christina Perri’s smash single.
